Retired Judge Ned M. Rosenberg concentrates his practice in the area of alternative dispute resolution. Judge Ned Rosenberg was appointed to the Superior Court in Essex County in June, 2005. He served in all Divisions until his retirement in April, 2016. The majority of his time was in the Civil Division wherein he served as the Supervising Judge of the Special Civil Part. He presided over Law Division, jury and non-jury matters, as well as Chancery Litigation, as he was also designated as the back-up Chancery Judge. While serving in the Family Division, Judge Ned Rosenberg was both the Lead Judge for Non-Dissolution matters as well as being assigned to the FM or Dissolution docket. Judge Ned Rosenberg served two terms as a Councilman for the Township of West Caldwell before his appointment to the bench. Previously, he was elected to six terms on the Caldwell-West Caldwell Board of Education, for which he served as President for seven years. In addition to serving as a private mediator, Judge Rosenberg is a federal mediator and a mediator in the statewide mediation program for Civil, General Equity, and Probate Cases and Civil Presumptive Mediation Program. Also, he is admitted to the roster of Mediators for Economic Aspects of Family Law Cases.
